Unalaq felt a difference in the air as soon as he turned; Larka’s mood had shifted drastically. He was sure that he didn’t want his beta upset with him; the beta was the backbone of any alpha. It just made it worse that she was 1) His only pack and 2) Female. But he was losing his energy to be snappish or sarcastic. He was intent on getting answers. He had to trust that she wouldn’t leave . . . because if she did, he feared that he would have made a problematic enemy that he would have to deal with later.
He listened stoically to her snappish explanation, carefully remembering the name of the place he lived and the direction would be the best place to den. So he would have to stick to rabbits for a while . . . he was a survivor through and through . . .
“Great,” he responded, unfazed by her sudden coldness. He turned around and began to walk purposefully towards the woodland. “Then perhaps we’ll save the hunt till morning, when the suns out and its warmer. Tonight we should focus on denning; I suppose the old dens are out of use? They’ll need to be fixed up a bit.”
OOC: The rest of this post will be continued in the thread in the Wood Haven board.
