Character's Name: Abaars
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Species: Sasriel
Physical Description: Abaars appearance is rugged and appears to have been in many fights. Despite this, his thick white fur that is extremely soft to touch. On his face and back, black splashes seem to go every direction. The tip of his tail is dipped in black, matching the black splashes on his back. Abaars stands about 4’7” from shoulder to ground and about 5’5” from nose to tail. He has pure white wings that reach a span of eight feet. His light grey eyes reveal age, a wanderer’s wisdom, and strange, mystical secrets.
Personality: Unlike most sasriel wolves, Abaars is a wanderer. He is a curious wolf, and wandering around doesn’t help keep this trait at bay. He is often getting himself lost because of these traits, but he has fun in doing so. He is, like the rest of his kind, a loyal guardian. He is willing to take the risks of protecting others if he has to. He’s also a very peaceful wolf. He has a tendency to try to talk to his ‘enemy’. He tries to calm them to keep from fighting them. When that fails, he will fight but he doesn’t kill his opponent. He leaves them alive in an act of mercy. He is merciful towards all and this might one day be his downfall. There is also wisdom from his journeys and wanderings.
Pack: None (Originally the Sun Crest)
Rank: Loner
Other: Abaars often watches the flying creatures, like birds and the beautiful insects that he sees in the warmer and cooler seasons. He even flies among them, sometimes. He often finds himself losing track of time and tries -though failing miserably most of the time- hard to concentrate on getting where he’s trying to do. He also has a bad habit of trying to be neutral when someone wants to fight him, another bad habit of getting lost.
History: Abaars was noticeably different since his youth. He was the youngest of a litter of five and when he took a step out of the cave he was born in, began to wander off down the mountain. His parents and the other adults tried their hardest to keep Abaars on the mountain until he was old enough to fend for himself. They often found him at the borders of their lands just ready to take a step into Raven Wing and caught him almost every single time. Those few times they found him in Raven Wing, he was very close to Blood Fang territory. Then… He learned how to fly. The adults had an even harder time keeping track of Abaars then. He was nicknamed the “Oddball” by his peers for not staying with the Sun Crest pack that could protect them in his youth.
When he became an adult, the other sasriels found that he’d rather be wandering and away from the pack then staying and helping protecting it. One Shadow’s day, at the age of four years, Abaars vanished. The some of the Sun Crest –his siblings and friends- searched all his favorite places, even the ones near the Blood Fang territory, but he was gone. By the end of the first year, they gave up, assuming he was dead.
Eight years pasted since his disappearance. Eight long, quiet years went by before he was seen again in the Sun Crest territory. Those of his siblings and friends that had survived –which was very few- gathered around and questioned him as to where he had been, why he had left and never told anyone, and why he came back. He never answered the first question. He told them he didn’t want anyone to know where he was going because he was tired of being stopped and dragged back by his fellow sasriels. The third question’s answer was that he was simply getting old and had nowhere left to go.
For a short time, he stayed with the Sun Crest. Then, Abaars vanished… Again… It was very rare to see him. One of the younger sasriels mentioned he’d seen Abaars helping a family of heus get back to the Blood Fang. The young sasriel intervened and questioned the old sasriel’s actions, and the old one simply muttered, “Even in the end when an act of kindness is forgotten by the ones who needed it the most, the one who acted on kindness will remember…” The story was doubted and pushed aside, though many began to believe it might be a possibility, for no one had seen much of Abaars and when he was seen, he was in Raven Wing near the Blood Fang territory...
All of this is the past, most likely died with those who knew him. Now, it appears he is wandering back to the only place he can truly call home. Back to the mountain of his birth. Back to a place he once wandered away from in his youth… The only place left for him to go…
