Character's Name: Sparrow
Age: 3 Years
Gender: Female
Species: Timber Wolf
Physical Description: Sparrow has a very clean, lady like beauty about her that seems to show some sort of proper nature. Though her pelt is predominantly a soft cream in color, a sharp contrast of white feathers out on her chest and belly, as well as on her cheeks and part of her face. Her tail tip also seems to have been dipped with white and the inside of her ears are tufted with white fur. A darker “ridge” of a light dusty color is flecked down her spine and on the top of her head. Her fur is of medium length and very soft, hardly ever dirty or tangled and it isn’t often that you’ll find a scar in full view. The few that she does have she covers up easily, with the skill of someone who feels their image is very important. Her eyes are a light brown, soft and gentle, alluring to the unsuspecting male. A small muzzle, complete with a small, brown nose, make her face look narrow and add just another trait to her petite body. And though she is petite in stature, she is rather tall and has the ever so slightest bit of muscle on her legs.
Personality: Sparrow is a lady in every sense . . . or at least, when she feels like it. She has a proper sense about her and expects to be treated with the same respect, and has a rather severe temper when things don’t go her way. She can come off as rather cold towards strangers at times, without meaning too, as her full personality only comes through to those that really know her. Around other females, she seems to have this need to be the dominant female (under the Alphess and Beta) and has a tendency to start snippets of fights – needless to say, most of her friends are male, and most of her enemies female. Around males, she is loud and enjoys a good spar and can be very sarcastic and bears a dry sense of humor. If you really are in her inner circle, however, you will find that despite her fight and ire, she really can be compassionate and cares deeply for her friends and pack mates. She will fight to the death for a pack mate she doesn’t like should they be threatened by an outsider, seeing her pack as her family. But don’t underestimate this fae; she has precise fighting skills, honed by the war that took place not so long ago. It may seem her heart has been hardened by the years and months she’s spent alone, looking for lost pack mates, but who knows who may crack her shell?
Pack: None
Rank: Loner
Other: Sparrow is secretly jealous of other females, ones that don’t have to fight and who are still innocent, despite the laws of nature. While in her pack, spring time came to her painfully as she wished for pups of her own, though she’d never admit it. As a result, she will “grudgingly” jump at the opportunity to pup-sit when the opportunity arises. She feels the need to be strong because she was alone early in life and has never really had a true blood family.
History: Sparrow was left alone very early in life. Her parents were both loners and as a result, Sparrow and her brother were the only surviving pups of her mother’s litter of four. Her father was killed before her birth, leaving her mother alone, unprotected in Raven Wing territory. Her mother raised her and her brother up until they were able to walk at least, and once her brother was able to explore, his curiosity turned into his own death sentence. He had wandered to far from the birth den was taken by a hawk, leaving Sparrow alone with her mother. Several days went by and her mother seemed anxious about being left alone in Raven Wing with a helpless pup and so, she took Sparrow and left the loner land, seeking what, Sparrow wasn’t sure at the time.
For nights, her mother would travel, carrying Sparrow for hours. Her mother grew weak, hunting just to feed her pup the small prey she could capture. Her mother finally arrived at the Outland border, weak and sick from malnutrition. She collapsed when she finally found wolves standing at the border, watching her intently. They did not attack and simply waited for her to gain her bearings. Finally, she nudged her young pup towards them, telling them that she was sick and she wanted her daughter to live during these harsh times. Obeying the fae’s requests, a squalling Sparrow was picked up by one of the males and was taken away from her mother as she laid down onto the ground.
She never saw her mother again after that; she never knew what they did with her mother or if her mother truly left her. All she could remember was the intense fear of being left alone with a dozen bright eyed strangers and left in the care of a new mother wolf with a litter of newborns. They treated her kindly, but Sparrow was reluctant to take a new mother. When she found out she could train with other pups in the pack that were her age, she jumped at the opportunity.
At first the work was grueling and merciless, but at least it kept Sparrow’s mind off her mother’s abandonment. Sparrow worked hard to surpass her fellow pups, becoming top with some of the other fighters. Her next year of training proved to be even harder, but she was harder to. Her heart had become stone and her no nonsense attitude became something memorable. Everyone recalled the orphan of the Outland, but she didn’t think of herself as such. Instead, Sparrow saw the pack as her only family, her true family. The only family she really, truly remembered.
Once she became part of the elite ranks, Sparrow fought alongside her brothers and sisters fiercely. When they finally emerged into the greatest war of the land, fighting with Sasriels and against Heus and traitors, she finally felt the joy and thrill of the fight, as well as the anger and sadness of losing those she had once called family and friends. Her mind was so wound up with the chaotic blood bath that when one of her pack mates was labeled traitor and then escaped execution, Sparrow was devastated. Her anger for such a pack member is ever lasting but her pack was leaving her too. It was odd, to see all her pack members flee this hopeless war, so many lives lost. In desperation to find her pack, she left but to no avail. She was left alone in the world again.
And so now she returns, hoping to start over, hoping that someone is there to meet her when she does.
