Character's Name:Chicken
Nickname: Chic
History Behind His Name: Chic came by his name by a rather cruel trick of his fate. His mother, an impulsive soul, agreed to take a bet that the next thing she saw would be the name of her first born pup of her next litter. She closed her eyes and spun in a circle, and opened them to the sight of a chicken, proudly strutting her feathers. Needless to say, the situation of Chicken's name could have been worse.
Age: 3 years, aged to perfection.
Gender: Male
Species: Sasriel
Physical Description: Chic is a handsome devil, and he knows it. His pelt is a beautiful gray, slowly cascades into the white on his belly. His wings are a glorious white, pure as fresh fallen snow on the slopes of his homeland. Scars riddle his body, marks of an old war, hidden by the thick fur that covers his entire body. Chic is strongly built, much like a barrel in many ways. He is large for a normal wolf, but not huge. His legs, though long, seem close to the ground due to his deep chest. His gray eyes are wrinkled at the corners, years of laughter echoing from their depths. Chic lost the hearing in his right ear in some battle, and will play up his infirmity without shame.
Personality: Chicken is hardly ever serious, a joker at heart. He is often loud and boisterous, tormenting his ‘baby brothers’ at every chance he can find. His sternest gaze would not even faze a puppy (for which he fosters an incredible weakness), and his smile would melt some of the coldest hearts. Chicken is rather vain, knowing he is a good-looking specimen of a wolf. He often teases his brothers about how he got all the good looks, to which it had often been rebutted by a bashing of his intelligence. Chicken is fiercely loyal to his pack, and most especially to his brothers, the last of his family of gentlemen. Once, he was never sure quite when, Chicken had promised himself that he would not let his brothers be hurt, a promise he has secretly been keeping for seasons.
The attitude of a gentleman has been deeply instilled in Chickens kind heart, the many lessons taught at his mother’s side still strong. Though he will tease females shamelessly, he honors them with his respect understanding that they don’t necessarily need his protection. He always lets the ladies go first, and never burps at dinner…
Pack: Sun Crest
Rank: Fleet
Other: Chicken is always trying to live up to his mothers memory, honoring her by living by her teachings and protecting her remaining sons. He is the oldest of Equis's gentlemen, his favorite people in the world being his little brothers Soliel and Crispin. Chicken is a warrior by nature, knowing nothing else but war in his three years. He is a fierce fighter, tending to act to quickly to think (a weakness if there ever was one). Chicken also has a strange fear of heights, not a petrifying one, but when push comes to shove Chicken would much prefer the solid ground to the open sky.
History: The unlucky process of his naming aside, Chic lived a rather normal life. As normal a life as a wolf named 'Chicken' could be expected to live. His mother, a loving if misguided wolf, was meticulous in the raising of her pups. His poor mother was blessed with six boys whose mission it was; from nearly the minute they entered the world, to deprive their mother of both sanity and sleep. Though it proved to be a trial worthy of a patient parent, Equis (as Chickens mother was named) raised her boys in the proper fashion, producing six of the very finest gentlemen.
The process of their upbringing took place in the peaks of the Sun Crest Mountains, possibly the best place to raise such fine gentlemen. The rolling hills and sudden drop offs provided a perfect method of character building proper in young warriors. For warriors were all what they would be, from the dreams of young pups watching their pack-mates train, to the bloody fields of the Heus massacres that would stain their bright futures.
For bloody they were. The first week of spring saw two of the warrior brother's, strewn dead on the battle field. Their dear mother, a warrior in her own right, left to grieve over the bodies of her broken gentlemen; her gentle, impulsive, kind heart shattered into thousands of pieces. Her sorrow was that of a mother, only known to those who are mothers and have lost that what they loved best and thus far beyond description.
Chic and his two brothers watched in agony as their mothers beautiful frame lost its shape as her sorrow ate her heart and body away into nothing. They fought, for her and for their brothers. They new little of war, and then only what the Heus's bloody battles had taught them. So they fought to defend what they loved most, their dear mother and their brothers fallen.
The more they fought, the more was lost, till most of the Sun Crest Pack was lost. By this time few of their kind were left in their mountains; Chic and his brothers and mother, the Alpha, a little wolf female named Rahiel, and a few others. Most were alive because they had not fought... They could not fight.
So the gentlemen did. They fought side-by-side with their alpha, a desperate attempt to end the bloody war. To his left one of Equis's gentlemen fell to the might of his opponent, just another soul lost. The kind dear could not watch her two remaining children vanish and threw herself into fray, her last spark of life sacrificed to send her boys away.
And to Away they went. Away welcomed them with the coldness of a stranger, and treated them with no remorse... But brothers and gentlemen they stayed.
Equis's Gentlemen have come home.
