About the Pack: This pack is directly the opposite of River Wood. They are organized, disciplined, and understand boundaries like no other. They are strong and united, the most strong standing pack known to all, save the Outland whom they know nothing about. If a member is slacking, punishment is served and the problem takes care of itself. They understand the power Blood Fang can have and how much they really need their alliance with River Wood and their respect of Sun Crest. And though they are not directly opposed with River Wood, the pack does really annoy them . . .
Simply looking at their ranking can give you an idea at how organized everything is. They have back ups for when the Alpha is busy and the Betas are no where around, they have sitters for pups and Heads for daily duties, giving them a group of unranked subordinates to choose from. The pack is loyal to each other and very open, even during Blood Fang's destruction months. They make sure their pups are instilled with knowledge and intelligence from birth and make sure they know where everyone is at all times.
Though they are no superstitious wolves, the sight of man-made things that wash up on land tend to make them anxious and uneasy and are usually quickly buried. Loners that wish to become new members also tend to go through some serious questioning before being allowed to join.
Common Diet: Their diets consist of smaller prey that can be found on their moorland and sometimes a rare seafood prize or fish from the river.
Ranking System:
Alpha(ess): (Max. 2; Male and/or Female; 3 years or older) The alphas over look everything and make everything is running in order. They hold pack meetings and make sure everyone is doing what they are supposed to do.
Beta: (Max. 2; Male and/or Female; 3 years or older) The second in command, they get just as much respect as the alphas do. They will take over if the alpha is away or busy.
Heir: (1; Any gender; Any age) The Heir is the one that gets the pack after the death of the Alpha(s). Usually a pup from the alpha pair, they are appointed either when they are born or (more commonly) when they are older. They usually get to eat with the alpha and are also second in command with the Beta. They are given valuable knowledge growing up and demand respect from the pack.
Pup: (0+; Any gender; Birth - 12 months) Pups are held in high respect in the pack and every member does their part to take care of them.
Elder: (0+; Any gender; 7 years and older) This is given to wolves to old or weak to keep up to the pack. They are allowed to stay home and spend their days in comfort.
Maidens and Bachelors: (1+; Female (Maidens) or Male (Bachelors); 1 year and older) These are traditionally young wolves, commonly females, they prefer to stay and watch over elders and pups in the pack. If there are none, they usually strike out with others or simply watch over the main territory. Males will often take this position to get to know females, though once they are older will seek to join a more traveling rank.
Head Hunter: (Max. 2; Any gender; 2 years and older) The Head Hunter is the one in charge of watching the pack's food supply. They will often advise Alpha's during the spring time whether or not pups could be beneficial to the pack or not. Head Hunters will choose subordinates to take with them on hunts and direct the hunt.
Head Fighter: (Max. 3; Any gender; 3 years and older) Head Fighters are the ones that patrol the borders and help fend off trouble causing loners. They also lead the pack into battles when it is needed and will often confide with each other to come up with new plans. Fighters will pick out wolves from the subordinate group to join them.
Head Scouter: (Max. 2; Any gender; 2 years or older) Scouts are in charge of leading potential members to the alpha. They will sometimes travel with Fighters as message bringers and receivers and will travel to Sun Crest to ask for favors or guardians. They will sometimes take other members with them to help keep more eyes and ears available.
Subordinates: (2+; Any gender; 1 year and older) Subs are there to help the pack with anything that is needed and are at the mercy of the three Heads of the pack. Sometimes the subordinate group is split into three sections during desperate times.
Omega: (1; Any gender; 1 year and older) Omegas are the least respected in the pack and are often picked on and the last to eat.
