About the Pack: Sun Crest is an all Sasriel pack, save for the wolves that they occasionally take in to give them sanctuary. They are seen as guardians from other packs and major threats from Blood Fang. They are a very proud pack, perhaps a little to proud, and are one of the stronger packs, other than the Outland pack. All members are expected to help out and there is no Omega position like other packs.
Pack life in Sun Crest is noticeably different. Though the main pack works together, mates are allowed to have their own family groups within the pack just as long as they realize that more pups mean more mouths to feed. This is the main reason Sasriel packs are so large. Any member of any rank (besides pups) may be called upon to be a guardian for a trouble pack, giving Sun Crest an excellent name. Each rank is respected by all and rules apply equally to alphas and other members. Like any good pack, they rely on each other and punishment is given out as seen fit. Non-Sasriels are not allowed to join, a long time rule that is embedded into every Sasriel head, though other wolves make seek sanctuary there. Sasriels will sometimes even take mates from other packs, though they are not allowed to live in the other's pack, they may spend a long time in each other's land. Hybrids will have to stay in the non-Sasriel parent's pack or become a loner. If the mother is Sasriel, the pups may grow up in Sasriel land but must leave once they reach an independent age.
Sun Crest respects Blood Fang as equal enemies but will fight with a deathly grace if threatened. They try to outdo Blood Fang when they are messing with other packs and will often save packs from themselves when members are lost on who to trust. Sasriels also have a built in fear of human artifacts and will bury anything that comes on the beach.
Common Diet: Usually it is whatever they can find on the mountains, which is usually Mountain goats and sheep. Those that are active enough will travel to the sea side to find a seafood treat or to the base of the mountain where deer and other small wildlife reside.
Ranking System:
Alpha(ess): (Max. 2; Male and/or Female; 3 years or older) They oversee everything in the pack and take command.
Beta: (Max. 2; Male and/or Female; 2 years or older) Second in command, usually the most trusted by the alpha.
Gamma: (Max. 4; Any gender; 2 years or older) Third in command and are often pups of the alphas and/or betas. They are usually in charge of calling pack meetings together or recognizing issues in the pack and settling problems.
Delta: (2+; Any gender; 16 years and older) The elders of the pack, often considered wise because of their age. They are there to aid the alphas in decisions. They will often also be messengers to others.
Pup: (0+; Any gender; Birth - 12 months) Pups are held in high regard and usually taught to fly around 6 months of age. Members try and interact with the pups as much as possible, in hopes of creating strong ties with them as they grow.
Harbingers: (2+; Any gender; 1 year and older) Usually younger wolves who are new to adulthood. Harbingers bring messages to and from different packs and are most commonly the ones to meet wolves at the border that are asking for favors or guardians.
Care-takers: (2+; Any gender (commonly female); 2 years or older) Care-takers are those that stay within the mountain, taking care of the weak or injured and making sure everyone is well fed. They are often chosen to pup-sit.
Fleet: (2+; Any gender; 1 year or older) The bulk of the pack with responsibility of hunting, guarding, and scouting. The older ones are usually in charge of the younger ones and take on leader ship roles in pack hunts.
